policies & procedures
At the beginning of each season there is a non-refundable $30 registration fee for every student. ($75 for families of 3 or more)
Tuition is based on a nine-month season, this price remains the same regardless of how many weeks are in a month.
Costume Deposit: a non-refundable $70 costume deposit per class is due by December 1, 2023. Please note this is a deposit and the remaining balance, if any, will be due when the costumes arrive in May. Costumes will not be released until the dancers account is paid in full, including all tuition, costumes, and other fees that may incur.
Closing & Cancellations: Signature dance does not provide refunds or credits for classes missed due to illness, personal schedule conflicts, or other reasons. Classes cancelled due to weather will be made up at a later date. Signature dance does not close based on school closings, you will be notified of closings by email, social media, and the studios voicemail will reflect any cancellations.
Attendance: Please arrive for scheduled classes on time and prepared for class. With limited space we do ask that you arrive no more than 15 minutes early for any scheduled classes.
Food & Drink: In an effort to keep our studio clean, allergen free, and pest free we ask that students do not bring food to the studio. Water is encouraged for all students during classes.
Classroom Attire: We ask that our students come prepared to participate in class without distractions.This includes their hair being pulled back out of their face for dancing. Guidelines for each class are noted below.
Ballet: Black leotard, pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes (leather or canvas style) Jazz/Lyrical/Contemporary: Solid color upper body (tank tops, crop tops) with solid color bottoms (leggings, dance shorts, tights NO denim) and tan jazz shoes.
Tap: Solid color upper body (tank tops, crop tops) with solid color bottoms (leggings, dance shorts, joggers, NO denim) and black tap shoes. Please note the year end performance could require tan tap shoes.
Hip Hop: T-shirt or crop top, with leggings, shorts, or joggers NO jeans. Please designate a pair of shoes for the purpose of hip hop classes, no street shoes will be allowed on the dance floor.
The annual year-end performance will be held at the Honeywell Center in Wabash Indiana. Show dates are Thursday June 6th and Friday June 7th.
MANDATORY full-dress rehearsal will be at the Honeywell center on June 3rd - June 5th
